The Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling is a peer-reviewed journal that advances theory and professional practice through scholarly and reflective literature on pastoral and spiritual care, counseling, psychotherapy, education, and research. JPC&C is co-published with Journal of Pastoral Care Publications Inc. (JPCP) and all material submitted for publication must reflect the ethical standards of the organizations that are Member Associations of JPCP.

The Journal of Pastoral Theology was established in 1990 by the Society for Pastoral Theology to: Further the understanding of pastoral theology as a theological discipline and to clarify the nature of the discipline; Maintain a view of pastoral theology as a constructive theology that emerges from the exercise of caring relationships, with attention both to present lived experience and to knowledge derived from the past; Provide an intentional forum for the voices of diverse persons, women and men, of many cultural and ethnic backgrounds; Foster multi-cultural understandings of issues in the discipline; Promote and encourage multi-discipline and multi-cultural research in the field of pastoral theology; Provide resources for those who teach and those who study, through recording current research and assessing the relevant literature; Provide for the construction of sound theological principles for guidance and critique of practices of pastoral and spiritual care; and Work creatively, through synthesis and construction, to define the frontiers and parameters of the discipline.

The Journal of Psychology and Theology publishes original research on the integration of psychology and Christian theology. Empirical studies and theoretical pieces investigating the interrelationships between psychological (e.g., clinical, experimental, industrial/organizational, social, theoretical) and theological topics of study are considered. Scholarship that explores the application of these interrelationships in a variety of contexts and/or from intercultural perspectives are encouraged.

The Journal of Religious Leadership is published semi-annually by the Academy of Religious Leadership (ARL). As a peer-reviewed journal, the editorial team assesses articles by four criteria: scholarship (in an effort to promote faithful critical thinking about religious leadership), theological (as ARL is focused on religious leadership, matters of faith and practice are instrumental), expansive (the work of ARL seeks to extend and deepen both religion and leadership), and suggestive (work suggests outcomes, practices, behaviors, implications, etc. for readers to incorporate in their contexts).

The Journal of Spiritual Formation & Soul Care is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year. Its purpose is to advance the discussion of the theory and practice of Christian formation and soul care for the sake of the educational ministries of the church, Christian education, and other para-church organizations through scholarly publications that are rooted in biblical exegesis, systematic theology, the history of Christian spirituality, philosophical analysis, psychological theory/research, spiritual theology, and Christian experience.
